Well, this is the moment American royal watchers have been waiting for. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touched down in California today for a whirlwind tour of the golden state. William and Kate flew into Los Angeles on the back of a successful tour of Canada - their first official overseas visit as a married couple.
The royal couple will be bypassing trips to Disneyland and the Kodak Theater this weekend in L.A., and instead will dive straight into charity work after touching down this afternoon.

Earlier she and William watched the young sheep riders, or “mutton busters” strut their stuff. So, now they are in Californai. they will be greeted by Gov. Jerry Brown then whisked off to Variety’s Venture Capital and New Media Summit. "Welcome to California," Brown told them, and his wife gave Catherine a red, white & blue bouquet of flowers.
This is the first official visit of the couple which consists on nine day---"In 1939, my great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, said of her first tour of Canada with her husband, King George VI: 'Canada made us.' Catherine and I now know very well what she meant," William said in a parting speech late Thursday.
