Annie Le Murder Case Update

This is the latest news update about her murder that former Branford resident Raymond Clark III took responsibility for the sexual assault and murder of Yale, just before he received a 44-year prison sentence in New Haven Superior Court Friday.

Annie Le was Yale University graduate student. Annie Marie Le, a 24-year-old American doctoral student at the Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Pharmacology, was last seen in a research building on the New Haven campus on September 8 just days before her 2009 wedding.

Le was beaten, strangled and stuffed into a wall of a Yale University research center. Le’s body, the source said, was found in a utility space in a bathroom wall near the basement lab where she had been working the day she vanished.

After Le’s body was discovered, investigators linked Clark to the crime through DNA analysis of semen stains at the crime scene and a trace of Le’s blood on his card key. The murder of Annie Le occurred September 8, 2009, on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
