Kelly Rowland Cries Over Beyonce's Kind Words
Singer Kelly Rowland teared up on U.S. TV on Friday when she was shown a touching video message from her best friend and former Destiny's Child bandmate, Beyonce.
The Motivation star was promoting her new album Here I Am on news show Access Hollywood Live when host Billy Bush played her the video surprise.
In the clip, recorded last week, Beyonce said, "My Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, I love you so much. I'm so proud of you, your album is incredible... I'm so happy I just got to see you in Paris, I mean London! And I'm very proud of you and all of your success, you're such a beautiful woman and I can't wait to see you again."
Rowland was overcome with emotion and had to dab away her tears as she gushed about the close friendship she shares with Beyonce and fellow Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams.
She said, "It's so great, just the bond that we have. I love my sisters so much."
The trio were reunited on Tuesday when Beyonce and Williams turned out to support Rowland at her album release party in New York.

As A Free Agent, Kelly Rowland Finally Maximizes Her Value On The Marketplace
Did you see Kelly Rowland’s performance on the BET awards? Was that really…Kelly?
After watching her passionate performance on the BET awards, I had to write about it. But how would I write about it from a business angle? It didn’t take too long to come up with an observation as to why Rowland’s talents were just now being fully exposed in the music marketplace, and my hypothesis centers around Matthew Knowles’ management of 2/3 of his infamously successful girl group Destiny’s Child.
In last night’s performance of her hit single “Motivation,” she was so fly, so dope, so fierce that the question that naturally came to mind was: “where the hell have you been all these years Kelly?” Sure, rumors have always haunted Mr. Knowles management style, and it’s always been whispered in industry circles that Knowles’ only interest was to make his daughter a superstar. But was his management approach to Rowland one of neglect or one involving anti-competition?
Since moving on from Destiny’s Child, Rowland came out with albums like “Simply Deep” – a boring musical foray that only indicated to many fans that Rowland didn’t care about making a splashy contribution to the music scene. She must’ve been content with her post-DC, wealthy lifestyle and not very driven like her counterpart Beyonce – so we thought. At the time, she was still under Mr. Knowles management.
Obviously, Beyonce needs no explanation. She is fierce, she is driven and she has the success to match her passions. Nobody is doubting that. However, why is it that Kelly’s talents had to be downplayed for the sake of Beyonce’s success? Economically, it doesn’t make sense.
Competition is a natural element in our capitalist society – it fosters growth and innovation. So more competition is not a necessarily a bad thing for business owners, and it’s certainly not a bad thing for society at large when engaged ethically.
